These sessions are usually booked around the time your little one is 11 months old. This will then give you the opportunity to use the photos on party invitations. 

Styles, colours and themes will be discussed in full with you prior to the photo shoot. Usually for a cake smash baby will have two outfits one for the portrait shots and one which parents don’t mind getting messy or wet.

I cover up to 25 miles from Ashby de la Zouch any more than this incurs a mileage charge.

A cake smash session involves just baby and parent or parents if they are both available. This is so that your little one does not get too overwhelmed also it creates a far more relaxed atmosphere where you will get the best out of your little one. Too many people at these photo shoots can create distractions for baby and upset them. Turning 1 is a big milestone and they are noticing more of their surroundings, so we don’t want to upset them.

The session is a three-part event, the first part will be taking portrait photos, then the smashing of the cake followed by either a splash session or bubbles.
